Skylark Motel – Hotel near airport in Chicago

Staying at the Skylark was a mixed experience. On one hand, I appreciated the clean and comfortable room close to the airport, making it convenient for our early flight. However, the area felt a bit sketchy, and there were some cleanliness issues in the room that really dampened my stay. Overall, it offers decent value for the price, but I would advise caution.

While it was conveniently located near the airport and had free parking right outside, the room was far from what I expected in terms of cleanliness and comfort. My family and I had quite a troubling experience at this motel when we were stranded at the airport. The room we were given was in a dreadful state, with filthy carpets and outdated furnishings. We felt unsafe almost immediately due to the atmosphere and the neighborhood. Luckily, we were able to get a refund and leave before spending the night, which was a huge relief. On a positive note, the staff was accommodating in processing our refund and calling a cab for us. Overall, I would not recommend staying here, especially for families.
